LUTTON PLACE BOWLING CLUB

WEB SITE

Founded 1860

Welcome to the Lutton Place Bowling Club's Web Site.

As President of Lutton Place Bowling Club it gives me great pleasure to note that we are now on the World Wide Web.

Our club was founded in 1860 and it has played a significant part in the early years of the Scottish Bowling Association, providing it's sixth President James Pretsell and it's second Secretary A H Hamilton. The name A H Hamilton will be familiar to most present day Scottish bowlers having given his name to the trophy played for yearly as the Scottish County Championship. Mr Hamilton was the Secretary of the SBA from 1895 until 1936 and president in 1937, a tremendous record of service in itself which has set us a great example to follow at the present day Lutton Place.

It is thanks to Keith Scott a member of committee that things have been brought up to date and we are pleased to follow the example of other forward thinking clubs by being part the communication revolution.

I hope that you will find our website interesting and useful and hope it will lead to many new contacts from both national and international sources for our club.

Yours sincerely

Eric Hobson
